Say "Yay" or "Nay" to fourth american idol judge?

in January when the next season of american idol starts there is supposedly going to be a fourth judge by the name of Kara Dioguardi (spelling?) She is the balancing act helping paula keep the "girl power" on the show. now i personally feel another judge would be a totally and completely wrong decision. i mean what if paula and randy say yes to an audition-er and kara and simon say no, then what?!?!? paula works hard to give kids the shot they deserve and Kara could completely and totally ruin that. now don't get me wrong I'm sure shes a wonderful person but i DO NOT think she should be the fourth judge on idol. i don't think they should even have four judges. I think the way the show has been was just right and adding a fourth judge could change everything and not for the better. but again thats just me, how do u feel about idol having a fourth judge??? yay or nay???

I don't think it will work but I'm hoping it will.  I don't think Paula is to happy about it.

I was wondering about two judges saying yes and two saying no, too. I just read an article that says that Simon will probably get to make the decision if it's a tie.

I personally don't think it's a very good idea adding a fourth judge. I like the three of them together. Besides, I thought Simon was leaving American Idol..?

Either way, it'll be a pretty interesting season.

Nay. I feel the same way you do. And I'm also jealous because all the judges have such a good chemistry especially Simon and Paula who are just so adorable. Then a fourth judge comes along and could totally ruin that. And also what you said about a "tie"; two judges say yes and two say "no', that could pose some problems and cause more arguments. For me it's "no way" for a a fourth judge and if they do add Kara she better not sit between Paula and Simon, lol. I love those two.

I would definitely say nay. American Idol just won't be the same with four judges. And Paula is fine being the only girl, I think. And why are they even adding Kara?? No one has even heard of her before!!

I also have mixed feelings, because it'll be cool to hear what 4 judges have to say about the performance/audition instead of 3, but youre right, what's gonna happen if two vote yes and two vote no? Paula said that Simon would have the final say, which means that more people aren't gonna make it because Randy and Paula are usually the ones who outvote Simon... little wierd

I don't know where I've been, but I had not heard about that.

I completely agree with you that there should not be a 4th judge as it would cause for conflict when there is a split which would inevitably mean that there would be one judge with some type of 'super delegate power' which would cause resentment.

Plus, I think that Paula likes being in the center, likes being surrounded by the men and likes all of the attention...she would not acclimate well with another woman.  She doesn't even really root for the female contestants.  Her favorites are always men!

Final answer:  NAY!

Seriously, I must have been living under a rock as I had not heard of this - I can't believe it!  They are crazy...that is really going to mess with the dynamic.  Unless, they are grooming someone in secret to take over for one of the other three and that way it will be a smoother transition.  Hm....
