Scam: There is a guy wanting me to transfer £900 to a friend trough the Money gram?

and send him the copy of the recipt as proof of the transaction .

He already pry on me 3 times, of course, I never did what he said, I just try to make him pay for the transfer and I will not do it but is possible for the police catch him?

He gets the emails from the Gum Tree, people like myslef looking for a flat to rent and than he send load of emails convincing me of his good character and pics of the flat he has in offer and of himself, etc and said he need to see if i really have money for the rent.

No landlord would ever ask for money upfront like this - so, as you've figured, it's a scam. Stay clear of him and look elsewhere for a flat. As for the police, I doubt they would be interested unless someone has actually been scammed and lost money. Like the Nigerian internet scams, there will always be naive people ready to dip into their bank accounts without knowing who they are dealing with - all you can do is keep your wits about you and never hand over money in advance.

What a scammer! I'd report it to the police even if you're not sure he can be caught. Better that than do nothing. I am constantly getting bogus letters regarding the Spanish lottery and I pass them on to the police to the department for fraud.

Posting a description of it like you did just here is a great way of creating awareness of these scams for others who might be more susceptible. Can you post it on any other sites: blogs/facebook etc? The more aware people are, the fewer victims he (and others like him) can cheat.
