Scan Lines / LogiTech ScanMan Color 2000

Question

I just bought a new hand-held for my PC - and for $129 - it's very impressive (color & resolution). However, I do have one problem: "lines" that appear in all my scans - and always in the direction I dragged the scanner over the photo.What am I doing wrong? Can I use Corel Photo-Paint 7 to "erase" them? Or is this a drawback I have to accept from an inexpensive, handheld scanner?Any feedback would be greatly welcomed.Thanks in advance, Joe
