Scanner for 9000 and new lap top cords not...

Question

I love my 9000. Only I can not use my computer to type school name for chair covers and then send it to scanner. the scanner cords do not match. I need a male to male serial adaptor. I found one but it fit into one side but not the scanner side ...there were two different size prongs on the serial plugs. Help!!!!!!
