I started school and the only thing we really did was go over rules, but this year I'm in almost every academic class and I'm really scared

I'm going to barely pass, I mean I think I'm a really smart kid and I got awards all last year for almost every class for outstanding work and I passed with like a 2.4 grade average.

But for some reason I'm so scared and paranoid, I don't know why because I'm not in a new school or anything :{.

What can I do?

  1. It is not unusual for students to feel like this at the start of every new academic year. There are several things you can do to help you through this time. Focus on a regular sleep pattern with enough sleep hours to fill your needs (everyone is different in this so you just have to find your own level); pace your time well, 1 hour homework, 10 mins off with a drink and snack in between sessions (this will help to energize you so you can remain focussed); plan ahead so that all topics are dealt with by the correct time.  It is all to do with focus really. If you can do that you remain in control and fears will fade away.

Good luck and best wishes. UK

  2. Don't think about it.

After the first day you'll be fine.
