Scared and worried.[ URGENT] [read this please]?

Question

Well I couldnt sleep at all last night cause where i live it was really windy, and Now theres a tree hanging on wires across the street.

My neighbors said that noone can do anything until it falls and im scared that if it does fall something worse will happen..

so what do you say?

What should i do?

What happens when wires explode?

its been there since 4 something yesterday

and its a tall and skinny pine tree.

please call and have the electric company come and take a look at it. three people died in my city because there was a phone line down about a block away and when they got off the city bus and stepped in a water puddle,they died. you have every reason to be concerned.

I was in the mountains of NC yesterday. They say the winds were between 50 and 70 mph. I did see alot of damage. As for your problem. Wait on the power company to come cut the power then have someone cut the tree down. You may need to call them yourself.

Has anyone called your local electric company? Do you know what lines they are? electric or phone?

if you can't get a hold of the electric or phone company call your local police station, (non emergency, don't call 911) and tell them  you have a line down

call the electric company and let them take a look at the wires, that tree looks like its gonna fall down any time

Call the electric company and your problems are over but they are busy to sit tight and wait.

first calm down and go some where and do something to get your mind off of it because worrying only makes stuff worse. but if you just need to stay home make sure no one goes near it even after it falls and most of all like i said before CLAM DOWN :-D

Notify the power company that there is a tree on the lines.    It is much cheaper for them to come out (or send a contractor)  now than wait until the lines break.  

For any problems with power lines,   call the power company.  Give them a specific location and description of the problem.    Keep folks far away from the area.     Only if lines are down are police or fire needed for public safety.

When/if the lines break,  electricity looks for the easiest path to complete it's journey.    STAY FAR AWAY!!   If you are in a vehicle with downed lines in contact,   STAY IN THE CAR!     If you touch the car and the ground or other object at the same time,  you will be completing the circuit.
