Question:

Scared for future of death?

Well, I was thinking. What if in many years they invent a machine that could bring someone back to life with their bones. I'm just worried I would be cremated and then no one could do that. Whats worse is that we're living in a time where death must happen. So, it really stinks that one day they might eliminate death completely.

  1. Don't worry about the back-to-life machine. It will never be made. The closest thing science can do to clone a person with their DNA. This is why the bone theory won't work. The main problem is, once you die your heart stops... obviously. Once your heart stops the oxygen supply to the brain stops. The brain can go a max of 3 minutes before there is almost definite brain damage. If it goes beyond that, then neurons die rapidly... and neurons do not grow back! Although there are some signs of regeneration in early age, after about 15, no brain cells are going to grow back at a pace rapid enough the cure brain damage indefinitely.

So the bones won't make the heart "turn on" or neurons reproduce. There is no way to bring a person back from the dead. There is just too much damage in their body.

We are not living in a "time" where death is inevitable, we are living in a universe where death is inevitable. Everything in the universe dies. Stars die, galaxies die in a sense, everything will eventually "die", especially life. We can't change the fundamental laws of biology no matter how hard we try.

Thinking that we can bring someone back from the dead is being overly idealistic to a point where we are pretending like science doesn't matter any more, and its all about "will-power" and "determination". Although death is hard to understand, it is inevitable and instead of wasting our lives working towards the impossible, we should spend the short time we have on Earth enjoying the simple wonders of this planet.

  2. Yeah, I don't know. I've thought about that but I don't think it could ever really happen. I mean, would that person still be the same? Would it just be them alive with no soul? I don't know how you could get someones soul back.

  3. Don`t hold your breath for that one , ): , why would you be concerned about death anyway , carry on and forget it , enjoy life the best you can , take care , saranora dnear

  4. dont be scared, death will never be eliminated by people.Only God can do that and there will always be eternal death for most
