  1. FAce it.

u will never get over ur fear unless u face it.

i'm not scared of the dark. just being in a open space in the dark.

  2. acknowledge the fear and adapt -try a lighted clock in your room & always walk with a buddy at night.

  3. I had that problem until I was 16. Imagination goes crazy when you're in the dark precisely because one of your senses is blocked. At this point, you substitute your imagination for what you can't see, making small horrors seem real.

What I did to solve this was just spend more time in the dark. When I walked through a hallway or room at night, I didnt turn on any lights and made my way through the blackness. A bit weird at first, but the frequency of a loose imagination significantly declines.

Face your fear and just plunge in. Your logical self knows you can't get hurt, and if you put yourself in the situation a thousand times and see that nothing physically happens, you will convince yourself of the safety.

  4. omg me 2 hehe ive had the same prob at night when i go to bed i put the covers on my head cuz i feel "safer" i always think someone will break in and i get creeped out by the noises....so ur not alone!

but yea we both probably should do something about it hehe....but what :(

  5. The only way to overcome your fear is to find out what made you fearful in the first place.  You need to take a short trip back through your past to see if there was something traumatic or terrifying that happened at night or "In the dark".  The reasons we're are still afraid of things months or years later is that we believe the danger still exist.  So, what is it that you still feel exist??????
