last time i went on a plane (2 months ago) the girl next to me got airsick on landing

that was a horrible experiance

Im the kind of person where seeing or hearing people throw up makes me feel like doing it

i might have almost threw up on the plane

I couldnt tell if i was getting sick or my throat was tighteing up

i just kept swallowing

I was looking out the window and humming loudly to myself

after I get off the plane i felt really dizzy and was visibly shakeing

for the next flight I was supposed to be next to the same girl, but i got someone to switch with her

for the whole flight i would practically freak out if the music wasnt playing or there was no movie

i got to go on a plane next week and im scared

I will be next to my mom and as far as i know she has been on 5 round trip plane rides and a rollar coaster and been fine

but im still scared

what if its a rough flight

  1. Usually what makes people motion sickness is rocking backwards and forwards.... side to side does nothing... take some ginger pills... they calm the stomach and are easy to find...   if you have an mp3 player of ipod take that, charge it... make a playlist of songs that you know the lyrics to and listen to that. it will help!

  2. It sounds like you have emetiphobia like me. Which is a phobia of vomit. Well, airplanes have those barf bags. Just think positive, don't worry about it. The last time I have been on a plane which was about 6 days ago, the girl sitting next to me went to the bathroom for that, I was nervous sitting next to her all the way home.

  3. This is okay. Many people get airsick. Tr not to base you upcoming flight on you previous experiences, As you will be on a totally different aircraft, Different pilots, And most of all total different weather conditions, Any questions you may e-mail me with at captainjon0527@gmail.com

  4. Your best bet is to just RELAX. Take some things with you - bring your own music and headphones, even crosswords or a book. Bring the entertainment you think you'll need to keep yourself busy, and chill out! The more you panic about it, the worse it's going to be regardless of what happens. There's no telling whether it's going to be turbulent or rough until it happens, so there's no point in worrying about it. There will be nothing you yourself could do about it anyway. Just relax, try to enjoy the ride and keep yourself entertained. If you really need to vomit, that's what the bags are there for. It happens, and it's nothing to be ashamed of.

    Hope all goes well :)

  5. Take some Dramamine before you go.  That always helps me.

  6. I am the same way so I take dramamine pills about an hour before I fly.  They help.

  7. that's what barf bags are for.  I'm really not sure how to answer that question, you either go on the plane and make use of the barf bag, or you find a different way to travel.
