Scared to Sing?

In my school, they have kids go on the loudspeaker and say the pledge and sing "Grand Old Flag". I am going on Friday with a partner (boy) and I have to sing. I have terrible glossophobia and I don't want to mess up. Any ways to not be nervous and not mess up? PLEASE! I'M DESPERATE!

  1. it's quite simple really--if you believe in your country and its ethics, you'll do well-if not, what a mess it will be

  2. i heard bananna makes you less nervous..

    try it=)

    i hope you do good!

  3. Practise that song and pledge till you know it inside out.  And breath.  I do relaxation exercises sometimes if I am nervous.  Dont be that nervous that you cant be heard.  If you know your stuff sing ya heart out.  Thats all I got.  Ohhh so for relaxation....breath in raising your arms...hold for 3 sec.....breath out lower your arms.  Also stand with arms lightly by your side and swing from left to right letting them flop around.  It works trust me.

P.S. Dont do the banana thing it will clog up your throat...Apples are the best with no skin.

  4. cover your ears, close your eyes and sing your heart out

  5. first of all, since you have glossophobia, remember that the only one you will actually be facing while you sing is your partner, and he has to do the same thing as you.  if you two are friends or at least can tolerate talking, just make casual conversation before you have to sing, and joke around a little, so you will be more relaxed.  also, before you walk in the room, do a few warm-ups and practice a couple of times at home so you will be more confident.

  6. idk tell ur principal ur nervous and dont wanna do it, gives some1 esle a chance to sing, dont be scared
