Ok, so at my dance recital, there is this special group of dancers called the special entertainers. They are different than the regular dancers because they do much, much harder dances. Well I made the team. The problem is that I dont know half of the moves they know! And sometimes at practice, My dance teacher will tell us to do dance moves by ourselves in front of the whole dance class!!! What am I going to do if he calls me up?! I went to a dance class to see what it would be like to be an enterainer and it was really hard. And all of the people their are snotty bratts and their mean! What am I supposed to do?! I am not going to drop out!!!

PLEASE HELP MEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  1. coool!  nice to know that someone of your level has that problem! xD

look, if you weren't qualified to be a special entertainer, you wouldn't have been picked

yes talk to the instructor, let him know how you feel, or at least give him a heads up.  i'm more than certain he'll have words of wisdom for you.  and if that doesn't help, remember, if you freeze up while you're out there, you'll be letting the snotty brats and mean people win.  get up there and prove those mentally challenged, freaking piece of shoe, f**t nuggets wrong and show them what you're all about.  dance up there as if no one is watching and if they do pop into your head, remember YOU made the team, not them! have fun with it girl!!

  2. :D Okay first of all, congratulations for making it ! I know how you feel, I'm a new member in my dance team and its my first year. They're all snotty brats? Ew! I know how you feel- standing up there in front of intermediate dancers must be intimating. When you go up, I bet your hearts gonna beat. I know they're gonna look at you and probably say something in their heads. You can't let that stop you, because they ARE, afterall, your team. They can't let you fall behind because if one person messes up, then its their fought. Don't worry- I'm SURE theres at least ONE nice person in there.

Look like you know what your doing. Even if you know you suck, you have TO have TO look confident. Girls who make faces (like nervous faces) are gonna stand out the most. They're gonna push you off as the weakest link! You have TO smile, cause it shows them your not afraid. When your ten seconds are up - your gonna be relieved.

I"m happy your not giving up - I can't dance, but thats my own opinion. I bet if you talk to your advisor or someone, they should understand. Maybe you should ask some of your members some questions like, "Oh.. when did you start dancing? Were you good at first? I'm so nervous." It helped me a lot. When they told me, I felt so relieved. Cause your nervous when you don't know who your dancing in front of. If you have friends, you'll feel more relaxed.

don't worry, I'm nervous too. I know its hard, but honestly, practice does make perfect. Cliche as it sounds, seriously- it does.

  3. talk to your teacher about how you are feeling, and ask the teacher if she/he could help you either after or before class to get you ready for the recital and up to par with the other girls

  4. Just be confident and show them all that you don't have to be snotty to be a great dancer. And if you wanna brush up on some stuff, here is a ballet dictionary with demonstrations so you can brush up on your vocabulary: http://abt.org/education/dictionary/inde... I'm sure you can look around online for dictionaries with jazz, modern, and tap, etc terminology/vocabulary.

You had to be good to get in, so don't doubt yourself, keep up the good work and keep your humbleness.

    Good luck!!
