It supposedly boosts moral in kids and staff and is very enforced. Because of my past experience with a crazy co-worker I am really afriad to make friends with people at work.I do not trust people at all. How can I move past this???

Please help me I am afriad to make new friends.

  1. let them know about your  past experiences and just tell them you need to take it slow but do SLOWLY try to get to know them. you dont want to make things bad for them or yourself by going to fast

  2. I understand where your coming from. While at work you should try to hold a small conversation. It doesnt even have to be a  a miniute long. For example just say " Isnt it cold to you?" or you can just sit around the workers so that you can get a small impression of each.Eventually your co-workers are going to notice you sitting by you and will eventually start a conversation with you.Dont let past experience judge the personalities of others because I know your opinion about other co-workers that worked with you during the time of your incident didnt change because you got to know them. You have to be social in order for you to trust. Just make a simple intoduction like " Hello, my name is..... and im new here and i was just wondering if you can show me around a tad bit if you wouldnt mind". That should help you alot. You cant be shy at a pool party lol just go around holding simple conversations with people or just say to someone "Im having such a good time here" then like i said before introduce yourself. I Used to be extremely shy and I learn to make friends this way. I knew there were going to be times where I would have to speak infront of people so I had to overcome my shyness some way.Its actually fun introducing yourself I promise. Just dont be shook up on the one co-worker ;) Hope I helped you.
