  1. This question screams "school book report."

I haven't personally read it but try Moby d**k. But please (if you want an A), don't fly through it just for the report. Become interested in it instead of just looking for the quick easy version/way out. (aka asking on Yahoo answers). If you're still reading my answer (lol) I've just suggested Moby d**k. Please pick the one you want to read.

Guaranteed A+ if you give it some thought and attention and base your report upon that. Thanks.

  2. Scarlet letter is more interesting by far.

The morality is something that we still deal with today.

Despite the old english the theme is as new as if it were just written.

Moby d**k is hundreds of pages long and not a book most of us in the 21st century could relate to.

If you ever visit my home state of Massachusetts, you can visit the home of Nathanial Hawthorn and also the site where the Demi Moore movie version was filmed.

Makes it once again more relivent to our own times and less ancient history.

  3. The Scarlett Letter. Much better. Shorter. More readable. More understandable. Freely legally available on the Internet (which is also true for the other).

Anyway, if you want to try both, here are the links:

I would go for The Scarlett Letter.

  4. Moby d**k is several hundred pages long and extremely complex. The Scarlet Letter is shorter (by a significant amount) and I find it easier to read that Moby d**k. You'll be confused over "The Custom-House" (the preface) and honestly I recommend you read that bit last, after you've finished the novel.

  5. Scarlet Letter is shorter and probably easier to write a report on.  Interesting depends on who is reading it.

  6. i wouldnt know but my friend really likes Scarlet Letter

  7. Both are very interesting stories. However the Scarlet Letter is quite a bit shorter.

However I will give you a more detailed description just to help :p

For me I would definitely choose the Scarlet letter for a report, simply because you can easily take different aspects of the story including the moral and interesting political topics. You could stretch the report out as long as necessary and still keep the topic solid and A worthy.

    Good luck

  8. The Scarlet Letter is much shorter, and much more interesting in my opinion.  Also, the symbolism and morals are very clear, so you should be able to easily pull them out for your report.

  9. I read both in high school. I'd definitely point you at Scarlet Letter. I re-read Moby d**k, and it is a great book, but not for a teenager.

  10. The Scarlet Letter. It's easier and more interesting then Moby-d**k.
