Scatter Dice to crush down the competition in the UBS Stakes (Handicap)
The Class 2 UBS Stakes (Handicap) has brought together sixteen three-year-old runners for the mile and four furlong race on Wednesday, 1st August at Goodwood. The prize money set for the winner is £24,900.
There are quite a few handful among the candidates who if given the chance can prove out to be pleasant surprises.
Manduro’s three-year-old daughter, Scatter Dice, started racing just during this season and has amassed eight races on her profile ever since then.
Her first career success was in the Follow Redcarracing On Facebook & Twitter Fillies’ Handicap on 2nd April, 2012 at Redcar over a mile and two furlongs. She took off with a reasonable pace but with three furlongs to go, she picked up the pace,
drew clear two furlongs out and stayed strong in the final furlong.
The Mark Johnston trained set Reset City as the runner-up while taking up the third position was, Sweetnessandlight.
Scatter Dice then won the Best mailto:Odds@oddschecker.Com Handicap on 9th April, 2012 at Yarmouth over a mile and 3 ½ furlongs. The favourite entry made all and with the last furlong to go down, she drew clear
and finished the race comfortably winning by the margin of three lengths.
The race, 32Red Handicap that could have given the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum owned the career hat-trick turned into a second position as the race was won by, Ruacana.
Regaining the composure, the Irish chestnut filly won the Totepool.Com Edinburgh Cup (Handicap) on 2nd June, 2012 at Musselburgh over a mile and 4 ½ lengths.
The three-year-old filly chased the leaders and with the last two furlongs to go, got ridden over and could only enjoy a temporary lead with the final furlong approaching. She escaped defeat by a narrow neck’s margin.
The chestnut filly out of, Sensation, then won the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home Handicap on 28th July, 2012 at the Ascot race course over a mile and four furlongs.
The favourite entry of the race, Scatter Dice, won by the margin of a neck for a straight second time.
The three-year-old filly will be ridden by, Darren Egan, and the duo has drawn the fifth gate to break from.
