ok this isn't really a question more like a statement! lol ok well i just wanted to say that black scene/emo girls do exist! I'm not full black I'm half black and half filipino..buh hey i am who i am! i dont really like to use labels but if someone would label me i would problem go under scene and emo..but i dont cut myself...ok heres a question! why do people.. think that black people can only go under the ghetto/gangsta label..now i live in japan and to tell you the truth on my AFB [[air force base]] there are only 2 black people that fit under the scene/emo label ones a boy and hes a skater and the other ones me...that's kinda weird dont you think?

  1. I thought people like you were a myth until about 3 months ago, when a black emo girl was in my group (I worked with high school kids). It surprised me because I live in Brooklyn, New York, and a year ago the kids didn't even know what emo meant. She was a very nice young woman, and she told me black emos (I'm still not sure what exactly scene is) were very common at her school. I was both glad and depressed to hear it. I was glad because it was something I had never seen before, and I like seeing how culture shifts in and out of the inner city. It made me sad  because "emo" is just another arbitrary label that kids adopt to feel like they have some semblance of an identity (sorry, but that is the truth).

  2. Not weird at all.

  3. nope its not weird i know alot of them

i know black people who listen to freakin Metal/Sceamo Hardcore ROCK

i listen to it and enjoy it ^__^

i'd consider myself a little scene

  4. ...we know there are all kinds of emo scene girls and boys, ur not the only one :)

  5. my cousin totally went throught that scene faze, it actually suited her though

  6. whats a scene ?

  7. I hate labels. I dont use them..Even if I had to i wouldnt.

Labels can suck my big juicy d**k.

But it really doesnt matter who you are. I mean your you and you know it so why state it? ya dig

  8. no not realy, don't think its weird

  9. 1. They think so because the majority of the media portays us as such, not really any alternatives to it.

    2. I think its actually pretty awesome, not weird ! Where i live there are pretty much nobody who's into scene/emo fashion or music..especially people who are black! [i might be an exception, but i dont label].

I hate being constantly rediculed for not living up to a standard of "blackness". I get critized by both races. But i am what i am, and you are what you are, and we got to embrace that!

  10. NOt strange...unless its the first time you see it. but in the hs i went to lots of black got, emo...etc. Its just not really shown in the media so if you dont see it yourself, most people think that it doesnt happen.

  11. its not the black...its the filipino in you
