Scene girls? Have awesome scene hair? A little help please XP?

Hi, 1st off don't give me any BS about labels and poserness and c**p. Yes labels suck, but what else am i going to say? The style of hair IS scene, im not labeling any people. It doesnt make you cooler or not a poser to rant and rave about being different, labels and posers kdarlin? ;]

Can anyone give me a discription for these types of pics [and dont say mean things about it, God ]that i can explian when ill take them to my salon? Last time they totally butchered it. My hair is about past my shoulders a bit but ill prolly get extentions and dye it.

Also what are the best brands of dye i should use, and how long after i get it cut will it take for it to grow out a bit [look nicer] ?

ANYWAY.

the hair is choppy layers, or "razored".

is is then backcombed or teased.

allllllot.

the long hair is probably with extensions, like youre getting :).

Give salon people a picture, the style is fairly new, so they proabably dont know what it is, and they'll give you a mullet :)

I would use Garnier Nutrisse. The colour is very nice, and it will take aboout 2 weeks to "settle".

give them the picture that's the best way to be sure you will get what you want. That hairstyle takes a lot of effort in the morning and causes serious damage to your hair with all the straightening, coloring and constant teasing.

Take some pictures with you, I go to a salon full of older girls and when I brought in a picture of how I wanted my hair done the one who cut it was like "Wow, that's so wild!" and she seemed just so happy about getting to try something different.. and she was probably in her early 50's. And I don't have a printer so I just made a mini collage of hairstyles I liked and took my laptop and they were totally cool with that.

So I recommend going to a good salon, not great clips or something, all in all my cut only cost me 20 dollars with a shampoo and styling and the woman there asked a lot of questions to make sure I got my hair cut just the way I wanted it.

And as for dye.. Special Effects hair dye is the BEST for unnatural colors! It's definitely my favorite and I've tried a lot of hair dyes. I used their Atomic Pink.. that last time I dyed it was back in may, I haven't touched it up so I have black roots and the tips are fading a to the blonde I bleached it to before I dyed and it's a slightly paler pink after all these months but it's still super bright and the fading actually makes it look better than it did when I first dyed it.. in my opinion.

I don't use Manic Panic anymore, it's really bad for your hair and washes out really fast. Special Effects brand hair dye actually makes your hair feel healthier, especially if you've bleached it from my natural black to super light blonde like I had to. I had pretty much no breakage and my hair feels soft and not like straw.

Just say very high up layers and a side swept fringe. Once you have LONG extensions tease the high layers. Oh and show them the pictures anyway.

As far as labels go... who cares?

You seem pretty defensive of it... I dont have any idea why, it's a style of hair, no one called you a poser and if you werent, why would you get upset?

Ignoring this... tell them you want an "indie" or "scene" or "emo" haircut.

Why not just print the pictures you listed and show them?

Short choppy layers with long side bangs. But to get your hair the way they have it, you have to tease it. The best color dye (pink, blue purple etc.) is Manic Panic. For natural colors, any permanent dye would work. If you going to non-permanent, go for Natural Instincts.
