Scentpastparadise to crush down the competition in the Stena Line Nursery
All the ten entries of the Stena Line Nursery have failed in their attempts to claim a race at Ayr and might just get that chance on Friday, 21st September over six furlongs. The two-year-old runners will race over six furlongs on heavy ground
conditions for taking back to the connections the £7,763 prize money.
One of the most commendable entries for the event is the two-year-old bay filly, Scentpastparadise. Out of the four career outings that the Brookridge Timber Ltd bred has raced, she set aside two as successes, one at the Beverley race course and the very
next one at Redcar.
Pastoral Pursuits’ daughter broke the maiden on 31st July, 2012 in the Beverley Annual Badgeholders Maiden Auction Fillies’ Stakes at the Beverley race course over five furlongs.
The favourite entry swept past the other three contenders seeking out to break their maiden. She was paired up with jockey, Royston Ffrench, and the two raced across the wire leading by the margin of good five lengths.
The Ann Duffield trained made the most out of her handicap debut on 11th August, 2012 at Redcar in the Win A Vip A Day Out AT Redcarracing.co.uk Nursery over six furlongs.
She raced in companionship with the same rider who broke the maiden with her. Getting into the lead with half the track distance down the way, the two-year-old got ridden over and was challenged when inside the final furlong. She kept a firm grip on the
performance until on the other end of the wire, and defeated, Team Challenge, by a mere short head’s difference.
Just when it was time for the Mark Curtis owned to play by consistency and strike a hat-trick, she failed dreadfully in the DBS Premier Yearling Stakes on 23rd August, 2012 at York over six furlongs.
She ended seventeenth in the field of nineteen.
The race was won by, Hototo, who defeated, Well Acquainted, by a neck’s margin.
She will get paired up with jockey, Royston Ffrench, and will need to look out for Tharawal Lady, Rio’s Pearl and Bachotheque as they all have emerged from first positions through their last outings.
