Schalke 04 duo Christoph Metzelder, Jose Manuel Jurado still confident of Champions League chances
Schalke 04 duo of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christoph-Metzelder-c9168 and Jose Manuel Jurado is still confident of their team’s chances of making it to the final of the UEFA Champions League in the ongoing 2010-11 season.
Manchester United beat Schalke 2-0 in the first of the two-legged semi-final of the Champions League at the Veltins-Arena on Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
United will now take a two away goal advantage to Old Trafford in the second-leg scheduled for May 4, 2011.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s men have put one foot in the final of the competition but Metzelder has warned everyone and believes that his team has the quality to overcome the deficit in the second-leg. The 30-year-old is disappointed with his team’s performance
but is confident that they will give everything to down United at Old Trafford.
Talking to the reporters Metzelder said, “We know it's not an easy task but we'll give everything. Except for a few moments in the first ten minutes we could not stand up to United. This was due to their class but it is clear we had proposed more than we
could show.”

Playing at Old Trafford is a nightmare for any team in the world as the Premier League leaders have not lost a Champions League game in their own backyard for ages now. Let’s see if Schalke manage to rewrite history on May 4.
