Schalke 04 reluctant to sell http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424 to Bayern Munich – Bundesliga news
Bundesliga side Schalke 04’s managing director, Peter Peters, has revealed that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues are yet to accept a bid from Bayern Munich for Manuel Neuer despite agreeing on a transfer fee.
After months of speculation, Schalke now seem reluctant to let go of the German International who has already decided not to extend his contract with the club. Reports now suggest that the Schalke captain’s move to the German capital might even be stalled
due to the club’s management’s reluctance to sell the player to their bitter rivals.
While talking to German magazine, Bild, Peter Peters said, "We had really good talks with Bayern and also have achieved economic unity. But we have not yet decided to accept the offer."
German media has reported that both parties are genuinely interested in the deal and a move is inevitable even though it has been prolonged to a few more days. Furthermore, it has been argued that Schalke would let go of Manuel Neuer only if the club is
able to find a suitable replacement.
Schalke have recently been linked with moves for Kevin Trapp, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 director, Horst Heldt, has already
stated that the club would not spend more than three million Euros on a shot-stopper, which means that moves for all the aforementioned goalkeepers, baring Eintracht Frankfurt’s Fahrmann, could be ruled out.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Schalke are looking to sign former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 Under-21 International Nolan Roux from Ligue 1 side, Stade Brestois. The youngster has been in fine form for the club and has scored six goals in his first topflight season. The
23-year-old striker has made 53 appearances for Brest so far and has scored 21 goals since joining the club from Lens in the summer of 2009.
