Schalke agree to sign Roman Neustadter
Die Knappen have agreed to secure the services of the Monchengladbach midfielder on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Huub Stevens’ side has had an impressive first-half of the season and is currently third on the Bundesliga standings table with 34 points from the 17 games played thus far. They are three points behind Bavarian giants Bayern Munich

The Gelsenkirchen based club has signed Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Roman Neustadter on a free transfer and the player will join the club once the season ends. The side has strengthened the defensive midfield position for

Club Sporting Director Horst Heldt claimed expressed his delight on the transfer and the ease with which the deal went through. He insisted that Die Knappen have acquired a great player for free in the summer and admitted that
it will turn out to be a good signing.
“We're delighted the deal has gone through. Roman is a young German player and comes on a free transfer,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The chief stated that the player’s performances in the last few months have been very impressive and Schalke wanted a player who was consistent in the defensive midfield position.
Heldt admitted that the player is highly underrated and is an unsung hero for his team. He hailed the German Under-21 international’s passing ability and is sure that a move to Veltins-Arena would further develop the player.

Roman Neustadter has made 35 Bundesliga appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach and has scored one goal in the process.
