Schalke doctor Thorsten Rarreck reveals it would have been impossible for Ralf Rangnick to continue
Schalke doctor Thorsten Rarreck has revealed that it would have been impossible for manager Ralf Rangnick to continue the managerial job with the club considering his medical condition. He admitted that the manager took the right
decision to resign as it would be better for him to recover from health problems.
Ralf Rangnick had announced earlier this week that he would no longer remain the manager of Schalke citing health problems. The former Hoffenheim manager is suffering from a fatigue syndrome which meant that his condition will
further deteriorate if he continues.
Rarreck claimed that Rangnick’s physical condition did not allow him to continue the job further. He stated that his time at Hoffenheim cost a lot of stress and he surely needs a break for some time. He insisted that the symptoms
were there for a long time and it was the right time.
“Rangnick is physically on the ropes. Hoffenheim cost him a lot of power. It was clear he needed a break. The symptoms didn't come along only yesterday,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The team doctor further added that it was surely not an easy decision for the manager to leave his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 but it was for the good of both the parties in the end.
“It was not an easy decision for him to leave Schalke. But it's for the good of his health and for the safety of Schalke. In his condition he can't help the club anymore,” he concluded.
Schalke General Manager Horst Heldt offered his support for Ralf Rangnick and insisted that the club will support him with his decision. The chief added that although his departure would affect the club as Schalke have had a good
start to the season, Schalke would accept his resignation.
“I have all the respect in the world for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ralf-c30492 Rangnick. We will accept his decision with a heavy heart and will stay at his side,” he concluded.
Ralf Rangnick replaced Felix Magath as the manager of Schalke in March this year and guided the club to the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League last season.
