Holtby claimed that it was an impressive performance in Europe and the side showed great character after scoring an early goal. He insisted that there could have been more goals scored in the match but many chances were missed.
“It was a good display, and we were comfortable especially after the early goal. At some points in the game, we gave the ball away too much and they scored,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

“We played well in the first half, and were effective in the second. We're top of the group, so that's great. It's been a hectic last couple of weeks, but the team have handled it well. It's a shame [Ralf Rangnick] had to stop
coaching us, but it's better for him as a person,” he concluded.
Schalke have a tough task next up as they face Hamburg SV at Imtech Arena in search of their fifth win of the season in the Bundesliga.
