The club’s director of sport, Horst Heldt, has revealed that Schalke have proposed a new offer to the former Real Madrid striker.

Heldt claimed that the club have worked out on a new deal for the player and have proposed it to his agent. The chief insisted that the agent will talk to the player and there will be a meeting between him and the player at the
end of the month. He admitted that both parties have agreed to reach a decision once they meet and is confident that the conclusion will be in the best of interests for both parties.
“Firstly, Raul's agent has to take his time considering the offer and then he will discuss it with the player. We have tentatively agreed to meet at the end of March to talk about it. That means we are fully on schedule,” he was
quoted as saying in an interview.
