Schalke play down Jefferson Farfan exit rumours- Bundesliga news
German giants Schalke have played down rumours that winger Jefferson Farfan will be leaving the club in this summer’s transfer window. The club revealed that they have no plans whatsoever to sell the striker this summer and that
the player is in the team’s plans for the future.
The Peruvian international’s future has been subject to widespread speculation this summer after some impressive performances in the UEFA Champions League last season and with Italian giants Juventus mainly the front runners to

“Jefferson Farfan will definitely not be leaving us within this current transfer window. That is for sure,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Heldt further added that his side have plans to offer the player a new deal this year. He claimed that the new contract is still in the pipeline and refused to reveal further details. However, he was confident that Schalke will
be able to tie Farfan for some more years at the club as the side wants to keep its key players.
“In contrast, we are still working very hard to ensure we are able to sign new terms with Jefferson to keep him at our club for much longer,” he concluded.
