Schalke’s Kyriakos Papadopoulos targets Europa League
Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos has stated that his side is well capable of winning the UEFA Europa League at the end of the season. The player claimed that the club has been in some stunning form off-late and can definitely

Schalke are leading the Group J of the competition with an impressive 11 points from the five games played so far and are still unbeaten in the tournament.
Papadopoulos insisted that Schalke were brilliant in their last game when they defeated Steaua Bucharest at Veltins-Arena with a 2-1 score line. He stated that the side fully deserves to win the group as they have played some sensational
football so far. He added that Schalke now has a very good chance of winning the competition and that they should continue with the consistent form they have been in all season.
“We gave it 100% effort and we deserved to go in front. We showed that we deserved to win the group and qualify for the knockout stages. We have every chance of winning this competition this season,” he was quoted as saying in
an interview.
Meanwhile, Schalke General Manager Horst Heldt is all praise for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-c30652 and insisted that the Spaniard’s performance against Bucharest in the match this week was terrific. He admitted that the former Real Madrid ma’s goal was vital
and the decider and remained hopeful that he continues with his performances.
“I was delighted for him. Particularly since the goal was not in a 4-1 or 5-1 win, but it was a decisive goal for victory. I would hope that he can carry on like this in our next Europa League games,” he concluded.
Schalke will play their last match of the group against Maccabi Haifa on December 14.
