Raul admitted about interest shown in him by the Rovers but ruled out any possible move to England. He told that Blackburn manager, Steve Keane, personally contacted him in order to know his desire. The Spanish international further mentioned about the quality
time he has enjoyed in Germany so far and was determined to honour his full deal.

Manager Rangnick enthused that the striker is a complete team player and it is good to have an individual like him in the squad. He added that the former Real Madrid man is an asset for his side, who can still do wonders at this old age.
While talking to a local website, Rangnick stated, "In terms of Raul it is the same as it is with all of the players of my squad. If he comes up saying he wants to move on we'll look into things. So far he hasn't said anything to me and we've not received
any enquiries from any club. I have been speaking to Raul over the past months every now and then and he has said everything is fine. Raul is definitely an important player for our team, although there are eleven players on the pitch."
Raul joined Schalke in 2010 and has 36 league games to his name so far, netting 14 goals during the process.
