The Austrian international is determined to make an impact at his new side after joining the Bundesliga outfit in the summer transfer window
Hamburg central defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scharner-c29393 is preparing to make his long-awaited debut for the German club after recovering from injury. The veteran player will be looking forward to make an instant impact with the Rothosen.
The former West Brom and Wigan midfielder moved to the club in the summer to bolster the squad depth at the Imtech Arena. However, the experienced player has not yet played a single minute for them as he sustained a knee injury
in a practice session in August.
The flexible attacker transferred on a two-year deal as he was unemployed after turning down a contract extension from former club West Brom. He was linked with Eintracht Frankfurt but the side did not sign him after training with
them. He got injured right after he signed for Hamburg, and is now relishing a chance to play again.
The Red Shorts have suffered a poor start to the campaign and lost their opening four league games. They also faced defeat at the hands of second division team Karlsruhe in the DFB-Pokal cup. Nevertheless, the Dinosaur are back
in form and the 32-year-old is willing to fight for a first team berth.
Scharner stated that he is committed to Hamburg no matter what happens. He said he will be with the team even if they are at the bottom of the table, and insisted his experience will be vital in those circumstances.
"I am going to be there if we slide down the league table,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

"I have already been taking responsibility off the pitch, but my injury has meant that so far it has been difficult for me to make a difference," the 2008 Wigan Athletic’s Player of the Year finally concluded.
The defender suggested that he is already helping the club, despite not playing for them and will be hoping to play against Stuttgart.
