How to have scheduled shut down of Windows XP Machine ?

where is the shutdown.exe in XP

it is not there in c:/windows/system32 then where it is as I want to schedule it.

  1. If u want scheduled shut down of your Windows XP Machine and

    if u didn't find shutdown.exe in XP

    then u can use different scheduled shut downer programs that are available on diff internet sites free

    you can choose from the list in below link

    they are not huge in memory ,just 50 kb -1.50 mb. works easy as piece of cake

    but may use .net framework.. you can see reviews on the link too  


  2. You have to run it from a dos window as a batch file...

    Just call C:\Windows/system32/Shutdown.exe and schedule the batch file with the Windows Scheduler.

  4. You can search for it in the pc search option......

    When I searched for it , its there in system 32.
