Question:

Schiefflen Plan Books?

i have a college asignment about the failure of the schiefflen plan and im supposed to buy a few books

however, i cant find any where?!

well, i found two but they were £50 each and im not paying that

if anyone has any suggestions, just leave the book name with the author, thanks :)

  1. It is Schlieffen Plan, btw.

    Start with Barbara Tucham's 'Guns of August' and go from her bibliography forward.  There is probably no better starting point.

    If your public or school library does not have it, shame on them.


  2. There are plenty of books out there for sale and my local library (in the bush in Alaska) carries a number of them so I am sure that you will have access to the books in a library in the big city.

    I agree with Year of the Dragon.  Barbara Tucham's 'Guns of August' is the definitive guide to World War I.  Additionally Amazon lists some excellent books specifically about Alfred Graf von Schlieffen.  Some of them are excellent and will give you some ideas about what to look for in the library.  

    Finally there are some good sources of information on the Internet.  I have listed a few of them below.  I don't see why you would need to buy any books as there is plenty of information from the library and/or the internet.
