Schliemann defense? Anti-Marshall?

I'm starting to play the Ruy Lopez...

But I don't know how to play against the Schliemann or the Marshall!

( Well, I just forgot how to play the Anti-Marshall. )

Anyway PLEASE help! I'm going to get the "Nun's Chess Openings" book but I think it will come in a while.

  1. My advice:

Don't sweat them until you see them.

I admit I was not a Ruy player.  The Marshall Gambit and the Schliemann might be exceedingly common.  Still I found playing by the seat of your pants ONCE then analyzing your own game and seeing what you should have done (and better yet why what looked right wasn't right) was more helpful than slavishly following some Yugoslavian IM.
