The Hannover duo have prolonged their stay at the club by signing new deals after being heavily linked with summer moves at the end of this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Schmiedebach-c23439 have extended their deals at the club and will stay at the AWD-Arena outfit until 2015 and 2016 respectively. Both the players would have run out of their respective contracts at the end
of this season, but Hannover bosses were keen to retain the first team regulars beyond this campaign.
Schmiedebach signed for Die Roten in 2008 after spending five years with the capital club, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hertha-BSC-c39521. The defensive midfielder spent three years with the second string side before earning a call-up to the senior team in 2009.
The player has so far made 30 league appearances for the senior side, but is yet to open his scoring account.
The midfielder was linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen in the upcoming summer transfer window.
While talking to the official Hannover website, the 23-year-old further elaborated:
"96 have in the past few months made great efforts to convince me. I know what I have at the club and in the city. In the end, all evidence pointed to Hannover, and ultimately it was an easy decision for me."
On the other hand, Pander added that he was certain to sign a new deal with the club, and was waiting for the renewed offer. He stated that he was always in favour of staying at the AWD-Arena as he is a first team regular, and
might not have enjoyed the same kind of privileges had he opted against a contract extension.
Pander moved to Hannover after spending a decade with Schalke and so far has made seven league appearances for Die Roten since making his debut in 2011. While addressing the official club website, the 28-year-old concluded:
"I have felt very comfortable here from day one. In addition, I am healthy, play regularly, and believe that the team can achieve things."
Hannover are currently seventh in the league standings with 24 points from 18 games and will next be in action against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FC-Nuremberg-c38162 on Friday, January 27.
