i m planning to go greece and applying schnegen visa frm french embassy. will that be alright or i have to go greece embassy to get schnegen?

You are required to apply for the Schengen Visa at the embassy of the country that you intend to visit first, or spend the majority of your time.  If it is determined that you have violated this regulation, your visa can be canceled, and you can be denied entry.  Will this rule always be enforced?  No, but there is the chance it will be when you attempt to enter.  The choice is yours.

As far as I know you need to apply at the country's embassy you enters first. So If you travel first trough France you can do that.

of course you may get it from another country in the schengen zone,

but the results will be the same on obtaining a visa..........

the rules of the schengen visa is almost the same for all the countries in the schengen zone ,

they do hold hands in giving visa.........

therefore? do the right thing and get it from the right country, to be at peace..........with immigration.

Schengen visas are valid into all schengen countries.

If you apply in french embassy you should land in france and then take a plane to greece.

I think if you ask the France embassy they'll explain how this thing works...

The Schengen agreement is an agreement between several European countries that effectively have no border between them.  These include for the moment - Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Austria, Monaco and the Nordic countries.

Basically, if you apply to one of these countries for a visa (if you need one), you do not need to apply for a visa in any of the other countries.  However, the best way to do this is to apply to the country that you pass through first, to avoid any complications later.
