I'm sure you will get many different opinions about Schneider. They're called pumpkin trucks and they sure don't go very fast. I have heard good things and bad things as with any company out there. My Aunt and Uncle did dedicated flatbed for them hauling oversize machinery and such...they loved them. I've talked to others that said they didn't get miles and were treated bad. Basically what it comes down to is what are you looking to get out of a company? Once you know that then look for a company that offers that. Talk to some of their drivers...do NOT go just from what a recruiter tells you because they will normally tell you anything to sign on with them. I do know a place where you can talk to "real" truck drivers that are out there everyday. A friend and I started up an on-line trucking group that is dedicated to helping new and wanna-be drivers get the cold hard facts about the industry. We are over 400 members strong with many "seasoned" drivers on board that are spread throughout the US and Canada. Our group is FREE to join and free to leave if you so choose. I'm sure if you were to come check us out and ask questions there would be many that would be willing to help you and possibly some that may already be driving for Schneider. I can't keep track of who all our members drive for so I can't say for certain. We have tons of information in our File, Database, and Link section for you to browse through. I started there they were a decent company, good enough to cut your teeth on then move on once you get your experience. Their training is excellent and their safety dept. is good as well. I'm not sure what you mean by rating? As far as a personal rating I would say a 7/10 for a training company.
