Scholarships and grants?

well everyone plans on attending MIT it may sound overrated but everyone wants it i have a few questions first for 4 years of attending how much would it cost? second if i gain a scholarship or a half scholarsip from a program does that mean i can use it towards any college i want? and do i haev to pay people back for grants or are they like gifts? and can they be put towards any college of my desire?. and back to the orignal thing about 4 years of attending does that full scholarship pay for all 4 years? and does the half scholarship pay for only 2 years?
