Scholarships...in TX?

Question

What scholarships or where do you go for help wiht finacial aid in or around north TX. I dont think I will be approved for a Pell grant are there any other choices?

Do you have your college selected?  Believe it or not some of the MOST expensive schools to attend are state schools because the competition for scholarships is so high.  There are many smaller private schools that have excellent scholarships.  "Public" scholarships (aka "Write an Essay") are difficult to get but many private schools have outstanding endowments for scholarships to their schools.  I would recommend that you look in the US News and World report list.  

Schools like University of Dallas, Hardin Simmons,  Tarleton State, Austin College, Dallas Baptist, Northwood, Texas College are all good bets to get $$.
