School 5th Grade sockhop/date type thing??

hey again in February there is going to be a fifth grade sock hop/dateish sort of thing at the school only for 5th grade and most of my friends have have dates but not me =[ my friend linnea got the hottest boy in 5th grade to go with her, Kyle. And also my friend victoria got asked 4 times in one day, mostly at lunch. i was like to my friends 'its way too early, is only august.' but for some reason I'm stressing, what do i do =[

ps, i know a couple boys like me, but they are AVOIDING me.

maybe im taller than my friends? 4,10 btw =l

You've got time.

Since school just started, you will probably become closer to other boys throughout the year.

Plus, 5th grade is a little young to be dating.

Just think of how your friends have to be tied down to one boy while you can take your time and flirt with everyone.

Also, you just said that "most" of your friends have dates.

Your dateless friends and you could all go together, and before you could all get ready together and have a slumber party together, while your dating friends just have their dates.

Oh, and I doubt it has to do with your height, boys are just a little scared to ask you because you are probably really cool/smart/pretty and they are afraid they aren't good enough for you.

I am in a 4/5th grade class.  My older brother went to a 5th grade dance last year. Most of the kids at the dance did not dance.  The girls were on one side and the boys were on the other.  We would not worry about it. Go with your friends and have fun!!

lol 4 10 is pretty short but it could be cause im a sophomore. ummmm ya put urself out there and stick to one guy and try to get him dont try to get em all or none of em will wanna be with you cya

You're definitely not too tall for your age!! Normal height if anything.

As far as stressing in August about a dance in February, that's crazy. Feelings change a lot in that amount of time, so why look for someone to go with now? I wouldn't bother until December or January or something.

Um, HOLD UP. Your in 5th grade, girl!! Just chill and go with a huge group of friends. And if you feel really left out, then just ask these "boys that like you".
