  2. FreeT hrows, chasing down lose balls, rebounding, taking charges.

  3. yeah, i remember my first tryout. The thing is do you want to play recreational basketball (for fun) or competitive basketball. if you want to play for fun dont join a school team cause you will be playing other schools personally i think competitive is fun. Nobody can tell you what to practice on but yourself. You need to look at what you arent good at, and practice. so if you arent good at free throws practice them.

BTW coaches like it when they're players can use both hands. so practice dribbling with your left and right hand. And coaches also like it when you can do left hand layups. And if it is for school they just want you to know the basics right so just practice the essentials and you will be good!

  4. Practice MORE on dribbling. Because if you are good in dribbling the ball, it will be easier for you to attack and penetrate the ring anytime you want. Work or develop your stamina by having daily exercise (jogging will help a lot) so it will be easier for you to learn and have good defensive skills. I wish this will help you a lot.

  5. Well one thing about team basketball is that there are 4 other players on the floor with you that can score. So just don't be a ball hog and hand the ball off if your trapped or have no shot. Another thing is that there are 5 other players that are going to defend so don't force your shot up if your double/triple teamed. What else.... Just pretty much play team ball. Listen to the coach, ask for your teammates opinions on what you think, and make sure you can keep up with what kind of offense your team runs whether it be a off-tempo or half court offense.
