School Camp (must take bike, I don't have one)?

Question

So after the summer vacation we're going on school camp for a bit of pre-winter mountain action. The problem is: we move around a lot and my bike's at my Dads in New Zealand (we live in Switzerland) and for this school camp you have to take your own bike with you... =( What should I do? I'm not just going to buy a new bike for one week. How should I tell the teacher? How should I ask someone if I can borrow one??

There places where you can rent a bicycle for a week or two.  Why not try that?
