School Ranking please?

Hi. Could you please tell me which school is more prestigous, better recognized, and has a good reputation. The schools are UIC (university of Illinois Chicago) and LUC ( Loyola university chicago). I wanted to go into premed. Also which one is easier to get into? Thank you!

The answer to your first question is contained in the second, the one that is harder to get into is probably the better school. That said, neither school has a strong national reputation, and they are mostly unknown to people outside of the Chicago area, but UIC is probably by a small measure the better of the two.

You say you wanted to get into premed? Have you recently changed your mind? If you still want to pursue an application to Medical School, a degree from either university, along with good grades in the courses required for medical school admission and the MCAT would give you a reasonable chance of success.

UIC is a research school and LUC is not.  That is the major difference between the schools.  Their averages are about the same with Loyola having slightly higher averages.  However, Loyola is much more expensive than UIC.
