So... I've been saving up all summer for back to school shopping. Tomorrow I finally am able to go to the mall and use all the money! Could you all give me some handy shopping tips for the mall, or help me out on things I need to buy.

I shop at places such as: Forever21, Hollister, A&F, && American Eagle (typical teen, right?)

*ALSO*-- Are scarves (like spring scarves or like those that you'd see lately at popular stores) "in" this season?

THANKS SOOO MUCH! Love ya'll(:

  1. try ae, they have tons of scarves!!

  2. well some scarves are in but i would wait to wear them. hey its still basically summer:D

    try polyvore.com

people make great outfits using stores like those ect

    you can too:D

its really easy 2 make outfits on it

  3. whatever you see in store such as A&F, Hollister, and American Eagle is 'in,"  If that's the look you're going for.  I like to find my staple clothes for cheap.  For example, Target has plain t-shirts for $5.  and they go so good with jeans, and under a hoodie, or whatever.  Who cares if it doesn't have the A&F screen print, nobody notices when it's layered with something trendy.  As for Jeans, I try to find them for cheaper too.. Since they can get expensive, but I like to splurge on one awesome pair.  Buy the basics for cheap and then your money can go farther on accessories and shoes.

  4. i wouldnt spend money on a scarf. they are the kind of thing you buy, wear once ,and then forget about them. well at least that is what they are like for me. i would get a couple pairs of jeans, sweaters, shoes etc. since you have $500 also try going to places like old navy, you will save money on camis, tank tops there. thats what i do, i dont want to spend $30 on something i wear under a shirt, at Old navy they are like $10.

  5. anything thats you

  6. $500? fun...anyways, here are some trends for this fall:

    1. skinny jeans! make sure they fit right and look good on you. it's incredibly important to try them on before buying. go for a darker wash too.

    2. black. this one's easy to work into your wardrobe. black lace is also trendy and creates a soft gothic vibe. you can buy a lace cami in black at like a&f or something.

    3. tomato red and jewel tones are big colors this fall. it could be accessories, shirts, pants...they're in style.

    4. animal prints are stylish. don't go for shirts but maybe like a sheer zebra tank top for layering or some earrings or bangles?

    5. tartan checks! to me, plaid vests are really "ghetto" but i think a tartan checked skirt looks hot if you wear it right.

    6. tights, knee-socks, and leggings to wear under skirts and dresses! wearing leggings as pants isn't very trendy anymore but if you pair them under a mini dress, it still looks great! go for these items in colors and patterns if it suits you, but don't forget to buy your basic black!

    7. flats are a must. don't bother with flip-flops.

    8. chunky accessories. you know, bangles, big earrings, long necklaces, brooches, antique rings, etc.?

    9. hats! they can accent any outfit. berets should be very trendy this fall!

    10. tunics are stylish and come in a variety of colors and prints. make sure it fits right before buying! structured shirts are also in, especially belted at the waist to create a sort of belle curve.

    some stores you should try:

    forever 21

    charlotte russe

    wet seal

    nordstrom

if you dig around at tj maxx, marshall's, and macy's you also might find something nice and at a lower cost. but that's only if you want to dig.

no offense, but i doubt you'll find much at hollister and places like that cause it's usually just the same stuff. but you could get like a sweater or jeans.

and scarves are still in style but not as much as they used to be. don't buy a lot but get one or two!

  7. forever21 is a great place to find stuff that really not expensive. So if you want a lot of different pieces your main focus should be over there.

But if you want to buy a few expensive stuff than you can look at places like A&F.

    I think they are in.

  8. Go to the buisiest stores first and NO scarves are not in style

  9. i love forever 21, thats usually where i spend all my money. Skinny jeans are always good to invest in, i think blazers are in this fall along with pencil skirts, tights, buble skirts, and sweaters. I am pretty sure that scarfs are in too i dont know how to fix them like they do on mannequins but give it a try. Hope this helps.

  10. the best place to shop for school clothes in my opinion is joice leslie because all the outfits are colorful and will make you look mature enough but not too much!!!

    hope i helped thanx

  11. First, find out what YOU like, and go with those things.

Second, forget what's "in" and go with pieces you know you'll be using when it's not what everyone else is wearing. These are worth the money.

Third, don't make yourself a cookie-cutter image like the others. Be unique. Be yourself.

Fourth, If you like scarves, buy a couple that will match anything you'd put with them.

You do not want to blend in, you want to stand out. Getting only things that are "in" won't let you shine like you should.
