  1. white collar..

    technically, in the 1950s it was a pink collar job

  2. White Collar for normal teachers

    unless it's like a mechanic teacher etc.

    "White-collar worker is a chiefly US idiom referring to a salaried professional or a person whose job is clerical in nature, as opposed to a blue-collar worker whose job is more in line with manual labor." -wikipedia

  3. LIGHT blue!! lol

    seriously it's a mixture i think..

  4. in the 60s and 70s it was called "pink collar"

    but if you have to pick between blue and white, it is closer to a white collar job

  5. white collar....though not paid like one....

  6. It's just a great job...You are respected by all people around you

  7. It is a white collar job doing blue collar work.

    You must have a degree and qualify to teach anywhere.

    You have to use your mental powers to maintain your job.

    That makes it white collar in my mind.

    If you are going to be any kind of good teacher you have to be able to communicate to everyone;

    You have to be a painter, a sculptor, a carpenter, a musician, a singer, a writer;

    You might be required to exhibit gymnastic skill, medical and psychological knowledge; and you have to be a traffic cop, a detective; and and a confidant.

    Many of these skills are blue collar in nature; so you have to bring a mixed bag of skills to the table to teach; so to me it is both a blue collar and a white collar job.

  8. White collar...although the pay, the way we are treated, the way we feel at the end of a work day, and how horrible the states treat us...it FEELS like a blue collar job

  9. White collar job, though, because it is historically a female dominated job, it is paid as though it is a blue collar job. Check out the salary jump in administration where it is male dominated.

  10. white collar
