School Uniforms in France????

I am wondering for those who live in france do kids where school uniforms? Till what grade? How about high school kids? In public schools? Thanks.

No uniform in the public school and not in the large majority of private schools (religious or not).

Nevertheless, you can find some upscale and "elite" private schools where uniforms are mandatory. I am thinking of "The houses of education of the Legion of Honor" which are french secondary schools established by Napoleon I intended, originally, education of girls whose parents, grandparents or great-grandparents have been distinguished by the Legion of Honour. Access is still legal heirs.

The houses are public institutions, secular and girls (there is a Catholic and Protestant chaplaincy for students practicing). Seats are reserved, in order of priority

1/ daughters, granddaughters and rear-granddaughters of members of the Legion of Honour

2/ daughters, granddaughters and rear-granddaughters of holders of the Military Medal

3/ daughters, granddaughters and rear-granddaughters of members of the National Order of Merit

4/ girls and granddaughters of foreign legionnaires (after consulting the great master).

The minimum age for entering a house is fixed at 10 years. Candidates must not exceed, in the year they are allowed, the age of

12 years to 6 th

13 years in 5 th

14 years in 4 th

15 years in e 3

16 years of 2

17 years in re 1

18 in terminal

Also I am thinking of "Military School and Academy" which start in highschool so the kids are 16 and 17 years old. There, uniforms are also mandatory...

Those wearing a uniform are exceptions; We are talking about maybe 1,000 to 2,000 students wearing a uniform versus 12,4 millions of scholars!!! But uniform does exist.
