If I'd be entering college in Fall '09 would I fill out the '08-'09 available on the web now, or would I wait until the '09-'10 becomes available.

  1. You'll need the "new one".

  2. You will need to wait until the 09 - 10 becomes available. FAFSA uses the fall season as the start of the school year, and since you will be entering college in fall 09 and finishing the first year in spring 10 you will need to fill out the 09 - 10 FAFSA.

  3. You need to complete the 2009-10 FAFSA which will be available January 1, 2009 at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Remember, it's best to complete this application after you have completed your 2008 federal tax form, so try to get those done early.

  4. You need to wait til Janurary 1st, 2009 to fill out your 2009-2010 FASFA. You'll need allyour taxes and parents taxes so make sure you get them done early so you can get a good finanical aid package!! Good Luck.

  5. Absolutely correct.

Each application is for a particular academic year, because your financial aid eligibility depends on the financial circumstances of you and your parents at that time.

You'll want to keep an eye out for the new 2009-2010 FAFSA, which should be available no later than January 1, 2009.

    Good luck!
