  1. Most high schools do offer this option with certain stipulations.  First off, you need to be a certain working age with working papers.  Usually the age is 16.  Your high school may also require a certain GPA like 2.5 or higher-your standard 'C' average.  You also have to focus in on your core courses: Math, Language Arts, Science, & History for your morning classes.  You won;t have room in the schedule for any electives.  You also have to have a job willing to participate in the Cooperative Ed. program that will communicate with the school when required to show working documentation like time slips or any disciplinary action.  You are also limited on school days the number of hours you are allowed to work.  In my state (Arizona) a 16 year old cannot work past 10 pm and no longer than an 8 hour shift.

Your best bet is to make an appointment with your guidance counselor to learn more about the program.

    Good luck to you!
