Question:

School bus late or at all?

The bus driver shows up late or not at all to pick up my kindergartener. Transportation refuses to do anything about it even though there have been other complains. They refused to even acknowlege that other kids are late even if I've had to drive them to school and sign them in myself.

Even if the school can get the driver to stop or arrive on time, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my kids on the bus because he is so unreliable.

Isn't there a way to get a reliable bus driver?

  1. Keep up with the days the bus doesn't come and send a letter to school with this list asking for reimbursement for you taking him to school.

Also call your state dept of education to see what can be done.

Go to the school bus dept and talk to the manager there. It could be that the bus drivers boss doens't know what's going on.

  2. Your school district must have an administrative office - you should check there - the individual schools cann't do too much.

If you feel uncomfortable abut putting your child on the bus, you shouldn't.  Perhaps there are other parents of children on the same bus that your child is on who feel the same.  You could form some type of car pool with these people - good way to get to know your neighbors.

  3. Go to the school board.... or the superintendents office.

  4. just take him to school for now on

  5. the best bet is to drive him to school. bus drivers are so strange they sometimes dont want to drive kids to school because they are to lazy.

  6. Go directly for a meeting with the school board for your district

  7. If its a group school, then contact the main administrative office of your school board...get more parents to protest against this...

    Have a conference with them...

first,(if you can) have your child miss the school 3-4 days...

then, if the teacher complaint about it, then tell them that you cannot afford to drive ur child to school everyday...

and give some "dhamkies" to leave the school!

  8. SCHEDULE A MEETING WITH THE BOARD OR TALK TO YOUR SUPERINTNEDENT

  9. I'd really bring it up with your school. Arrange for a meeting with the school, and if you can get the parents of the other children who might be going through the same thing you are, bring them along with you to discuss your complaints. It's not okay to keep on a driver who forgets kids!
