next year i would like to be school council. what happens at our school is: you fill in a form as to why you think you should be school council, these then get read out in classes without anyone knowing who has written them and then everybody has to vote to decide.

In your application you have to write why you think you should be school council. i really want to get involved in school life but i think that sounds so cliche. what would be your reason?

HELP PLEASE!!!

  1. As a teaching assistant in a school I would recommend you add things in your application about talking to your classmates about what they want in school, ie more play ground games/lunchtime clubs etc. A bench/bus stop sign for those who are feeling lonely and have no one to talk to, with this idea children could then go over and talk to them and make them feel welcome. Have play leaders who take groups of children for games such as stuck in the mud, copy cats and lots more this stops bullying so you could put that into your application.

hope that gives you some ideas.

  2. Be real with your peers.  Don't try to tell them what you think they want to hear, but  tell them how you feel.  If they hear your sincerity it will win you votes.  It sounds good so far, but be specific.  What do you mean by campus life?  What specific things do you want to do? Can you put a time frame around some of those things? Don't bash other candidates. Give your statement a personal touch by using your experiences/personal stories as to why you want certain things to happen on your campus.  If others can relate to you they'll vote for you.  Good luck!
