  1. I'm not sure about the legal rules of your state, however it's good to have your child participate in activities before kindergarden. If it's too late, consider child care or a place where your child can interact with others.

  2. Even if she is smart, preschool is a good ideal. It will teach her Independence, social, and skills to be ready for kindergarten. It is not t late for preschool it's the right age.

  3. i would say

that preschool is very much necessary  for a child.it helps him/her prepare better for the future education.some of the things needed for a child to adjust to the stressful environment of a proper school are only taught at preschools

  4. WHat do you mean she knows everything??  MY daughter turned  4 December 18th and she is in private Pre-k.  SHe started last September and I thought they were trying to teach her too much.  Boy was I wrong.  She can READ!!!  and write.

Her school teaches phonics.  Her homework tonight was to read 10 words each with 4 letters and to point out which vowels had the long sound and which had the short vowel sound.  Her speach is very clear.  Most people don't believe that she is actually 4 because of how she speaks and what she knows.  Keep in mind my daughter did not speak a word until she was 1 1/2

  5. Preschool is from 3 to 5yrs old (depends when the child turns 5, here in california child has to turn 5 before dec. 2 to qualify for kindergarten, otherwise they can still be qualified to go to preschool) so your daughter is preschool age and it's not too late for her however preschool is optional, totally depends on you if you want her to go. There are many reasons why parents take there kids to preschool. Some want the social interaction, others feel that their kids may get a jump start in education, some need it because they have to go to work and there is no one to look after them. There are part time and full time preschool classes. You might want to consider even taking your child to preschool part time just to make an easier transition for your daughter when she does go to kindergarten. That way she'll know what to expect. But that's totally up to you :)

  6. She can be put in preschool anytime.  You may also want to see if your local school district has a Pre-K.

  7. It is never to late for preschool. One of the biggest benefits of preschool is learning how to get along with others. If a child has never been in a group setting when they go to kindergarten I believe it can be tough on them. Children need their friends and there own thing to do just as we as grown ups do. Children have so much fun in the right preschool-so don't let your child miss out.

  8. my son went to preschool at 3!

  9. A four-year-old like your daughter can and does attend preschool.  Many parents send their children at ages three and four.   I do not know the status in Illinois, but in California, about 34% of three-and four-year-olds go to preschool.

It sounds as if your daughter may fare well even without going to preschool, but it might help her in areas not associated with academics (such as socializing with other children, communicating with a teacher, etc).

  10. your from a diff state so im not sure but i know we have pre-school then its pre-kinder at this age your daughter would fit perfectly in pre-kinder since she would only be four
