School foreign language classes?

If a school has foreign language classes, can they offer only one?

Our school is c**p and just cut French.

Now all they offer is Spanish, two years, nothing else.

Is that allowed?

Because can't it be considered discriminatory or something...?

  1. That is pretty normal in high schools.

  2. the reason they cut it was probably b/c not enough ppl signed up for the class which is ok...depending on the number of ppl you have in your school. if thats not the reason then your schools ****** up and you should try to petition your school board in your county...

  3. If your delicate with the issue you may be able to talk your way out of having to take a language course(that is if it is mandatory) because they only offer one.

Ask them if you can use Rosetta Stone(or some other self-taught method) and clep out of a language class.
