  1. How about asking the teachers and school administrators to submit recipes.   Ask the cooks to include some of the favorite recipes served for the school lunch (like in a section "feeding a crowed".   Compile a cookbook of the recipes.

Our local McDonalds's has a "Teacher's Night" where some of the teachers actually work at the restaurant and the school will get 20% of the net sales.     The teachers will give their students a card to present so that the school can give a "prize" to the class that has the most kids participate.

Our local PTO has a movie night once a month at the school.     Use of a big screen tv donated by a local electronics store; a new release is shown and  the PTO will sell popcorn, soda, candy.    No chairs, sit on blankets you bring.      Parents and kids get to hang out with old friends and make new friends.    The movie cost $1 for parents; free to kids.

I think that Pizza Hut has discount cards that can be sold as a fundraiser.    A person buys a card that gets them 20% off a total purchase for a year.    Usually very successful.

  2. non uniform day or go to school in your pj's day,  sports day  or no work day all these can be done with a small donation from each child even the teachers could get involved

  3. Are you involved with the PTA? At my children's school, the PTA sometimes partners with local businesses, say a restaurant or an ice cream parlor. They have fund raising night where all the proceeds, or I'm sure just a percentage of the proceeds, go to the school. The school usually hands out fliers and then you take the flier with you to the restaurant.

  4. Fancy dress ? every one chooses there own thing to were. But it has to be comical.

  5. cake sale this is pure profit familes/carers bring in the cakes then buy them back again we do about 3 a year. mufti days kid dress up and teachers say as a book character and pay around 50p or £1 there are so many others

  6. surely THEY HAVE ALL BEEN DONE?? Dont our taxes pay for school funding?? WE ARE SO GULLIBLE!!

  7. you could have a bake sale,

the kids could put on a show at the local community center,

    donation containers

you can go buy candy and sell it to the kids

throw a pizza party and 1 dollar to get in

    i hope those help..

sorry thats all i could think  of

  8. good old fashioned talent show.

  9. You can have an Ice cream float fundraiser. Or maybe a Hat day, if your not allowed to wear hats at school. Balloon Day?

Basket Raffle? Every class picks a theme for their basket -- something like sports, chocolate, or summer fun. Items for the basket are donated, and $1.00 raffle tickets are sold for each basket.

  10. here we go............ bake sale, carnival, sports game( 11 yr.'s play soccer while people watch and have extra activity's for the little kids like face painting or something), and well that all of my ideas! (good luck!)

  11. A sponsored walk/swim or anything that also gets them active would be best,Mama - although I agree with Windows - the ammount of taxes that we pay should make this sort of thing unecessary.
