School holiday ideas, for kids?

anyone any ideas on things to do with the kids, in the newcastle/northumberland area, weather is bad, and we have workmen doing our house, so we need to be out every day, managed well, so far, but need ideas for last 2wks, thanks in advance.

Take the to the local museum, park, zoo, library or go sight seeing after which you could sit them down somewhere quiet & have them write essays.

Contact your local leisure centres and they should have plenty of holiday activities and they're cheap

Go down to Flamingo-land.We went last Tuesday,it was monsooning!! We still had a brilliant day,never really had to que for more then 5 minutes for the rides either,which is very unusual.
